  • Principles of Table Design and Construction – July 15, 2017

Have you ever through about designing and building your own dining room table or coffee table?   In this full day workshop, participants will receive a useful combination of practical design considerations and hands-on practice.  We will use mortise and tenon joinery to build a “mock-up” table corner, complete with “haunched” and mitered mortise and tenon joinery and tapered table legs.   We will also cover the process of laminating table tops and working to a beautiful hand-scraped finish.   Using only traditional hand tools and techniques, participants will leave with the knowledge and skill to work on larger table projects.  Class begins at 9am and will go to approximately 4:30pm.
